Feature #5636
closedfirewall_aliases.php - Cannot open alias when double clicking it
100%
Description
In versions before 2.3 you could open alias if you double click on it from the list, currently it's not possible to do that.

If you are talking about alias names displayed on (say) the firewall_rules page, you now single click it, not double. This is because it now needs to be presented as an anchor link, not a JS action.
It is formatted like any other clickable link, so it shouldn't be too confusing :)
Or did you mean something else?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I am referring to the aliases list, not the firewall rules. So, on 2.2.x if you went to Firewall > Aliases and double click on any of the listed aliases from the list (so anywhere on the white space within that alias row) it would automatically open settings for that alias. That double click had the same function as clicking on edit button. Hope I made it more clear now.

That's already got a ticket - I'd close this one and add a note with that page on https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/4952

OK. I get it.
Early in this project the decision was made to remove most of that double-click functionality as a policy. I have been adding it back here and there where it makes sense though. I'll look at this later today if time permits.

Double-click action restored as requested.
It really helps if the GUI page name is in the title :)
