Bug #580
closeddns-server fails to install and remove
0%
Description
I've installed the latest snapshot pfSense-2.0-BETA1-20100507-1115 with quick install.
After the reboot I tried to add the dns-server package. This failed with this output
Installing dns-server and its dependencies.
Downloading package configuration file... done.
Saving updated package information... done.
Downloading dns-server and its dependencies... done.
Checking for successful package installation... of daemontools-0.76_12 failed!
Installation aborted.
I then tried to remove the package. This failed (dns-server was still in the list of installed packages) with no screen update after 30s there was this output:
Removing dns-server components...
Loading package instructions... Auxiliary files... done.
Deinstall commands...

Hi, I'm running the latest (as of Oct 15th) and I just installed dns-server and a few minutes later decided to remove it but I'm unable to do so. I get the same message as the original OP:
Loading package instructions... Auxiliary files... done.
Deinstall commands...
and it stays there.
I can successfully install/remove other packages.
HTH,
Jorge

Nevermind. I recreated the whole thing on another instance of PfSense and everything works fine. I think the package installation didn't turn out right for some reason (originally).
