On /interfaces_vlan_edit.php (Interfaces>Assignments>VLANs>Add), when the parent interface drop-down list is clicked, none of the interfaces listed have the proper aliases. In my case, I have three interface aliases: WAN, XLAB, and HOME. These aliases correspond to the three different network ports of re0, em0, and em1, respectively. In the list, I can see the network ports (and the internal interface names of wan, lan, and opt1), but not the interface aliases. This makes selecting the right one harder than it needs to be, especially on routers with many interfaces. In my case, I had to go to my interface assignments page and cross-reference the MAC addresses to get the right port.
