Tested on the:

2.6.0-DEVELOPMENT (amd64)
built on Sat Sep 04 01:10:11 EDT 2021
FreeBSD 12.2-STABLE

The Certificate Manager didn't show Syslog-NG used certificates. Please check.

Also, PHP errors appear after starting the service. I opened a new bug https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12339

You are right. I've just confirmed. The Certificate Manager page showed Syslog-NG used certificates after selecting TLS as the default protocol.

Ticket resolved.
