Moving this ahead, we'll fix any breakage we find in the meantime but pushing these issues which cover entire files.

Looks like most if not all of this was already committed. See 264198a5a69c0ea45726ccb4c0682f1f0cd5e8a9

It may not be 100% done, but for tracking purposes it's better to mark this much done and open a new issue if there is more to do, since at this point additional work would be targeting the next release.
