Add docs for installing/using a debug kernel
Added by Jim Pingle almost 3 years ago.
Updated almost 3 years ago.
Description
Starting with 23.01 there is an option to install a debug kernel that is actually a full debug kernel and not just debug symbols.
After installing the kernel, the user can choose to boot either the debug or non-debug kernel at the loader menu (or in loader config maybe?)
Find a place under troubleshooting to work this in.

Please add how updates to new versions should be handled, if at all. For example, will updating to a new version while on the debug kernel result in the OS using the new non-debug kernel? If so, does the old kernel need to be manually deleted?
There aren't any concerns for that as far as I'm aware. If there were I would have documented them. As already mentioned in the docs, it's temporary unless someone goes out of their way to make the change permanent, and if they do that, then it will just keep using the debug kernel as it goes.
This is not something anyone should be running long term in a release.

Picked back and deployed since we want these public before release in case we need users to load a debug kernel when testing beta/RC images.
