Description
Can you add the option to rename a 'Certificate Revocation List'
Scenario¶
I have made a list and then added some entries but decided I have used the wrong name but do not want to delete the list.
Files
the CRL buttons
- Assignee set to Jim Pingle
- Target version set to 2.7.0
- Plus Target Version set to 23.05
That should be fairly easy, not sure why it isn't there already unless something in the form structure of that page makes it tricky. Consumers of CRLs reference them by their unique internal ID and not by name, so there shouldn't be any fallout or extra actions needed when renaming a CRL. It just needs to update the name in the config.
just a small followup that is related.
I created a CRL using 'import an existing certificate revocation list' and have just gone back to edit it and got the following screen.
As you can see it is empty but the 'Descriptive name' field is there. I am not sure if this page should show content or just be blank as below.
- Subject changed from Ability to rename Certificate Revocation List to Ability to edit Certificate Revocation List properties
- Status changed from New to In Progress
Making this more general since while I was in there it was also not too hard to allow editing the lifetime and serial which we've had inquiries about in the past. I also found and fixed the problem with editing imported CRLs.
- Status changed from In Progress to Feedback
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
