Exclude non-release branches from general update checks
Added by Reid Linnemann over 1 year ago.

Plus Target Version:
24.11
Release Notes:
Force Exclusion
Description
To make it simpler to provide repos for devel, beta, and rc versions concurrently, the -C option should be modified to only query repos that positively identify either the legacy stable repo or a release repo.
An option should also be introduced to the update settings to opt-in for checking for 'preview' repos, which will include the devel, beta, and rc repos. The widget should be modified to display all available updates and not just the newest version from all repos.
- Plus Target Version changed from Plus-Next to 24.03
- Plus Target Version changed from 24.03 to 24.07
- Plus Target Version changed from 24.07 to 24.08
- Plus Target Version changed from 24.08 to 24.11
- % Done changed from 0 to 50
The update check will now only process release branches.
- Plus Target Version changed from 24.11 to 25.01
- Plus Target Version changed from 25.01 to 25.03
- Tracker changed from Feature to Todo
- Subject changed from Alter upgrade repo check to filter repos not named 'stable' or '*release' to Exclude non-release branches from general update checks
- Status changed from New to Resolved
- Target version changed from CE-Next to 2.8.0
- % Done changed from 50 to 100
- Plus Target Version changed from 25.03 to 24.11

The opt-in option can be left to a separate feature request. The dashboard widget will now only check for updates against the active/selected repo and "release" repos.
