UPS Settings doesn't display the full list of availabale drivers

amd64
Description
If I got to to the UPS Settings tab in the UI and select UPS Type "Local Serial", it doesn't display all the drivers on the system. Most specifically (for me at least), it doesn't show the apc_modbus driver -- which is a pretty popular one.
If I edit the settings from the shell/command line then it is fine, but it gets re-written if i make and edits to the settings.
I will look at adding app_modbus in the next version.
I looked into this a bit... What is the model number of your UPS?
Also, does it have a USB port as well as the serial port? If so, have you tried usbhid-ups on the USB port?

I have a Smart-UPS 1500 and yes it has both, but modbus appears to be the preferred protocol these days...
From the https://networkupstools.org/docs/man/apc_modbus.html driver page
"A general rule of thumb is that APC devices (or firmware versions) released after 2010 are more likely to support Modbus than the USB HID standard."
Modbus is very new to NUT. I expect your UPS supports USB HID, potentially in addition to Modbus. I would recommend hooking it up USB using usbhid-ups until such time as modbus support is available.
