Todo #1940

- Tracker changed from Bug to Todo
rsyslog can also buffer logs locally when remote server is down, during a reboot of the log server for example (but may be a problem on nanobsd with r/o filesystem ?)
Another vote for rsyslog. We are in need of being able to use TLS in order to log to our remote location.
- Target version deleted (
2.1)
Another vote for rsyslog here too . We too would like to monitor remote deployments.
I need to send my syslog through internet and for security reason I need TLS/SSL to do that.
Please switch syslogd to rsyslogd.
Another vote for this. We really like pfsense and the pfsense appliances. We also have a corporate requirement to integrate our firewalls in our SIEM over a TLS connection. There are options to do this in rsyslog including straight TLS and RELP over TLS. AT the moment we are using either telegraf or syslog-ng, neither of which are netgate supported packages.
