Sorry, still the same here. I have to reinstall to make it work again. How can I force to reset the GUI configuration so I have not to reinstall to test it?

I don't think there's anything new here. This widget, the dashboard update check and pretty much anything that runs pkg screws up the dashboard/webGUI when it cannot contact the repo servers or when pkg bombs out due to wrong weather, moon phase or whatever. (Bug #5263, Bug #6782, tons of threads on the forums...)

There was some Ajax added for Bug #5263 claiming to fix something, just to be removed recently (https://redmine.pfsense.org/projects/pfsense/repository/revisions/634bb06a8de4f807f932dd163cf4596b0a5cf156)

Forget that the widget exists and move on. The widget should be removed from pfSense until the package manager grows itself a brain.

There has been some focus on the installed packages widget lately, such as #8035. The widget works fine now and doesn't break anything. It's likely that this problem case is also fixed. If not, please provide a lot more detail about what widgets are present, the order they are present in the display, any javascript errors in the browser debug console, etc.
