Bug #7975
closedESXi 6.5 UEFI boot stops at framebuffer info
100%
Description
Booting the pfSense-CE-2.4.1-RC-amd64-20171019-0852.iso on ESXi 6.5 using EFI bios, the boot stops after showing the EFI framebuffer information.
This also occurred using Safe Mode. I saw no additional messages using Verbose boot option.
I also get the same result if invoking the boot loader prompt and using:
set kern.vty=sc
The 2.4.0 release is running very well on this host.

I tested booting other current freebsd and pfsense ISOs.
Both pfsense 2.4.0 and freebsd 11.1 iso did not stop at the framebuffer info.
They continued to boot into the installers.

Yes, it appears to be resolved.
I tested on the same VM configuration (EFI bios), using pfSense-CE-2.4.3-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-20171121-1226.iso, as well as, 2.4.2.-RELEASE.
Thanks very much for fixing it!
