Understand that VXLAN was supported but removed some time ago for not being enterprise ready.
From my understanding in the later versions of FreeBSD VxLAN is reworked.
OPNSense offers support for VXLAN and hoping to see VXLAN support brought back to pfSense.

Is there any information available around this?

I added VXLAN support by building latest FreeBSD VXLAN kernel module for my Pfsense CE 2.7.2 kernel.

If you have Pfsense CE 2.7.2 you can directly download and install kernel module (see installation).
There is also instructions to build this kernel module for your Pfsense kernel.
Any chance it's added to main Pfsense CE / Plus version ?
