Description

Hello all,

Since 23.09 and 23.05 re-ordering zones and saving has no effect, returning to the zone definitions after a save show zones in the order they are created, it was possible before to keep this tidy.

Can confirm with Bind 9.17 on pfSense Plus 23.09.1.

To reproduce:
1. Create two zones.
2. On the Zones tab, drag the bottom zone up to the top, or top to the bottom.
3. Save.
4. Go to a different page in the pfSense GUI and then back to the Zones tab. The reordering you just made is undone and zones are again listed the order in which they were created.

Tested on 24.08-DEV (built on Mon Jun 3 6:00:00 UTC 2024) with Bind 9.18

Reordering zones works as it should: after reordering and saving changes, when you visit another page(s) and then return to /Services/Bind DNS Server/Zones, zone order stays the same as it was after reordering.

We should retest it one more time when 24.08 will become stable. But I would marked this bug as resolved.

Tested against:

24.11-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Wed Nov 27 18:22:00 UTC 2024
FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT

It works as expected.
