Pfsense is not the default DNS service. Do not use the DNS Forwarder as a DNS server for the firewall is unchecked. DHCP does not give a default DNS IP (pfsense IP) to clients unless you put a DNS server IP on DHCP server.

Host Overrides dose't work properly. Only the top one seems to work. Aliases do not work at all.

I fixed some of what you noted, some has other tickets. What this ticket covers is resolved. Please post any issues you find to the 2.2 board on the forum.
